Congratulations to the organisers of yesterday’s International Women’s Day Edinburgh march and rally on an even bigger and more successful event than last year!
Hundreds of people – women and men, cis and trans, from Scotland and from further afield – took part in the march, which this year focused on these important themes:
- to demand action to decriminalise abortion;
- to oppose the rise of far-right movements and ideologies; and
- to encourage democratic participation in the upcoming Scottish Parliament election.
In February, the RSP made a £100 donation to the organising committee as a modest contribution to their excellent work.
We look forward to continuing to support this significant manifestation of the Scottish feminist movement in future.
